FAQ's

1. How's life at the North Shore?
Great! Salem and its surrounding areas (Marblehead, Swampscott, Lynnfield) are great places to move in, either if you are alone or with your family. You are located just 30-45 mins from Boston, and 1-2 hours away from the main ski centers. During summer there are plenty of outdoor activities you can enjoy.

2. Transportation

If you dont have a car you can get to Salem by Bus or Train. Check the mbta site for details. Both the 455 (Bus) and the Rockport Line from North Station will get you near.

3. Restaurants
Surprisingly Salem has a great variety of restaurants you can enjoy. From the traditional Indian cuisine (my favorite) to Waterfront restaurants, you'll find pretty much everything you need in here.There are also a couple of places to hung around (rockefellas, salem beer works, other traditional irish pubs).

4. Shopping in Salem
Grocery stores are located 1.5 miles from the hospital (Shaws & Market Basket). In the same complex you'll find fast food and a blockbuster. Wal mart is 2-3 miles from the hospital. The malls are located in Peabody (5-10 min ride in car). hospital.

6. Daycare:

If you need help with your kids, there's a daycare located infront of the hosptial (100 Highland Avenue, just beside the MD's offices).
